Magnetic
and bright future

We are looking for interdisciplinary answers and work on solutions to global challenges that society and the economy either face already or will face in the medium and long term.

Applying science and technologies for the human and nature

Global challenges approach

Magnetic Core focuses on UN Sustainable Development Goals, approved by the European Union KET and LEIT, and the National Research Program of the Netherlands. This specific set of policy documents isn't limited to the organisations mentioned above: today, almost all developed countries and large international organisations propose their own vision of the current research agenda. These programs have a local or socio-cultural context, but are very similar because the modern world's challenges have a global nature.

The directives we have chosen do not limit the generality of our approach in any way. As a private company, we cannot solve all the tasks specified in these programs equally, but instead focus on those challenges which correspond with our possibilities. For example, we don't compete with established research centres in physics, chemistry, or biology, but we can collaborate with fundamental researchers. Also, our team can't ensure justice and social welfare globally, but can contribute by supporting the correct principles on a corporate level.

Our focus is on challenges that can be solved using mathematical methods and computer science. We do not claim to be exhaustive, but we highlight the most important areas: adaptive control in "systems of systems", data mining, construction of socio-technical ecosystems and algorithmic solutions for them. These areas are closely related to the initiatives of sustainable cities & communities, responsible consumption & production, protection of life below water & on land in the UN program, and preventive & curative personalised medicine, logistics and transport in a dynamic, innovative and sustainable society, smart industry in documents NWA.

In addition to these scientific and technical tasks, our goal is to create an appropriate financial and socio-cultural infrastructure to support the effective implementation of other goals specified in the mentioned documents.

We believe that even if we cannot offer solutions to many problems ourselves, we can still be helpful to those who do this, "contributing" to the future of this world. This position is consonant with the last paragraph of the UN program: partnership to achieve the goals.

We should especially note the problem of affordable and high-quality education. We believe that education around the development and awareness of technology is the key to any innovative initiative's success.
